The Irish Perioperative Medicine Society (IPOMS) is continuing the SoMe Takeover for February 2022!


Each month, a new Social Media (SoMe) editor will be in charge of the official IPOMS twitter account (@IPOMS4)


This month the SoMe takeover will be IPOMS committee chair Kim Caulfield.


Kim completed her training with the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland in 2018. She completed fellowships in Perioperative Medicine at UCLH, London and High-Risk Obstetric Anaesthesia at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.


She has an interested in High Risk Anaesthesia for both elective and emergency surgery, with a particular focus in Obstetric Anaesthesia. Her main interest in perioperative medicine is in the appropriate preoperative optimisation of patients, shared decision making and the PACU model of care postoperatively


Kim is currently a locum consultant anaesthesiologist at University Hospital Waterford.
