Welcome to the Irish Perioperative Medicine Research page.
At Irish Perioperative Medicine Society (IPOMS), we are dedicated to promoting research in perioperative medicine across Ireland. Our mission is to improve the quality of perioperative care through research and education. Our team is made up of experienced researchers who are passionate about advancing the field of perioperative medicine. We strive to create an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration amongst our members.
SNAP3: Frailty and Delirium
IPOMS, together with the National Clinical Programme for Anaesthesia, is currently working on delivering a survey nationally to all preoperative assessment leads regarding the model of care in preassessment units.
A component of this relates to the SNAP3 cohort study being run in the UK, with a review of the current organisational set up for older patients and their perioperative care
MOPED Study
Management and Outcomes of Perioperative Care of European Diabetic Patients
MOPED is a prospective, international, multicentre, observational cohort study. This study will include as many participating institutions as possible across the world. It is planned to recruit at least 5,000 patients.
